Lindsay Kyte - Writer/Performer

Lindsay Kyte

Lindsay Kyte decided a while back her tombstone will read, "God, that was fun!" A writer and performer who has written for numerous publications across Canada as well as appeared on stages and screens from coast-to-coast, Lindsay is known for her ability to find the humour and magic within a moment and capture it in story form. She is also part wizard when it comes to documents for funding, publicity and development in all areas of the arts, having worked for several companies and individual artists in this capacity. Lindsay offers writing, researching and consulting services, as well as workshops. As a performer, Lindsay has training and experience in acting, hosting, broadcast journalism and public speaking. Though Lindsay is based in Toronto, all of the above are spiced with Cape Breton humour (you can transplant the Maritimer but she's still going to say "supper" years later) and Lindsay's extensive experience and training.

Please check out the next few pages for more about the services Lindsay offers, as well as resumés, clips and general nonsense. Enjoy!

The Fourposter - Classic Theatre Festival
Lindsay as "Agnes" in this summer's production in Perth, Ontario

**The Classic Theatre Festival hosted "BEATLES DAY!" Sunday, August 14, where in honor of Lindsay's graduating this summer and shaking Paul McCartney's hand as she did, this matinee featured a post-show talk whereby Lindsay sang some Beatles songs, told the story of meeting Sir Paul just two weeks before and let the audience in on some of the magic of Paul's Liverpool school, LIPA. Lindsay's flight to Liverpool was sponsored by Air Transat for free. Read an article on this show and Lindsay here:

**On July 29, 2011, Lindsay made a whirlwind, two-day trip to Liverpool, England where she shook the hand of Sir Paul McCartney--- as a graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (Masters in Acting). After flying for eight hours from Canada with Air Transat and going from the plane directly to the ceremony, a very tired, confused Lindsay was snapped shaking the hand of Macca himself... as she looked for the camera in the ether! Though not her best photo, still pretty neat to have. Read her article on this trip for The Cape Breton Post below!
